Foundations
The Giving Back Fund provides philanthropic consulting and foundation management to high-profile
individuals and others committed to philanthropy. In some case, The Giving Back Fund provides tax-
exempt status by establishing donor-advised foundations, which function as component funds of The
Giving Back Fund. In other cases, The Giving Back Fund provides consulting to independent 501(c)
(3) organizations.
We discourage unsolicited proposals --- very few are funded. Due to volume, we cannot
respond to all requests. We will contact you only if the proposal is under consideration. Please note
that most of The Giving Back Fund's foundations have specific program areas in which they focus
their giving. In addition, many require that the charity is helping a specific geographical region.
GBF's foundations only provide grants to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations. We are unable to
distribute grants to individuals. If you are applying for a grant to more than one foundation, please
submit only one proposal and refer to the multiple foundations on your cover letter.
We are unable to handle personal requests for autographs through mail or e-mail. Please do not
send memorabilia for autographs. These items will not be accepted or returned.
If you would like to make a donation to any one of The Giving Back Fund's family of charities, or to
support, encourage and enable further philanthropy through a tax deductible gift to The Giving Back
Fund, your gift would be greatly appreciated. If you are donating to a specific foundation, please
remember to specify the foundation in the "designated" section.

"I am reminded of the story of the great
French Marshal Lyautey, who once asked
his gardener to plant a tree. The gardener
objected that the tree was slow-growing
and would not reach maturity for a hundred
years. The Marshal replied, "In that case,
there is no time to lose, plant it this
afternoon!"
-- John F. Kennedy
Just as those who came before us planted
trees so that we could enjoy the shade, so
too must we plant for those who will come
after us.

We are inspired by the words of A.A.
Milne:
"In the quiet hours, when we are alone
and there is nobody to tell us what fine
fellows we are, we come sometimes
upon a moment in which we wonder, not
how much money we are earning, nor
how famous we have become, but what
good we are doing."
