12 Reasons to Give Calendar

As part of our mission to encourage new philanthropy from high-profile individuals and the general public they influence, GBF created the 12 Reasons to Give 2005 celebrity philanthropy calendar. The calendar honored twelve generous and diverse high-profile individuals within professional sports and entertainment who have demonstrated a strong commitment to philanthropy. GBF identified the donation of time, talent, and a million or more of charitable dollars as qualifying characteristics for honorees.
More than 100 million people were exposed to these philanthropic role models thanks to Time Warner magazines and other media outlets.
12 Reasons to Give Honorees
Each Honoree was invited to select one charity to benefit from the sale of the calendar. We encourage you to learn more about the beneficiary charities:

The 12 Reasons to Give calendar could not have been accomplished without the hard work, inspiration, and dedication of the professional staff at Blanchard Press.
Time Warner, Inc. graciously donated advertising space in Entertainment Weekly, Sports Illustrated, Time, and Life. Thanks to the magazines' approximately 78 million readers The Giving Back Fund was able to appropriately recognize our 12 Honorees for their continued generosity and successfully share our message about the importance of giving back.
A Special Thanks To The Following Individuals for Their Heroic Support of the Project:
Katie Brodnik, Steve Dodge, Michael Klingensmith, Maria Lehman, Ken Picerne, Mitch Rosenberg, Bob Sutherland, John Sutherland, David Vogan, and our 12 Honorees and their amazing colleagues, assistants, attorneys, publicists, friends, and families who collaborated with us to make this project possible
Printing and design for the calendar were underwritten by The Picerne Group, an international investment firm with offices in San Juan Capistrano, California and Tokyo, Japan. 100% of the net proceeds from sales of the calendar were distributed to the 12 charities selected by the Honorees.
